Step 1

Cut out a crown pattern from half a sheet of A4 Paper or Card.

Step 2

Iron a fold onto festive fabric which is large enough to cover the height of your crown pattern.

Step 3

Pin the pattern on to the fabric with the straight edge on the fold.

Step 4

Cut out the pattern shape from the fabric.

Step 5

Measure 18 cm of thin elastic

Step 6

Cut out a slightly smaller piece of heavy duty vilene and put it in the middle of the two pieces of festive fabric.

Step 7

Iron on the Vilene, it will stick to one side only.

Step 8

Pin one side of the elastic in and the rest pin together to stop slippage.

Step 9

Use a sewing machine to sew a zigzag stitch around the open edge, or you could use glue if you do not have a sewing machine.

Step 10

Don't forget to sew/glue in the other end of elastic.

Taaaadaaaaaaaaa!

You have a reusable party hat!
